Ace sums up the three reasons that the medialeft, and in particular the BuzzFeed, Talking Points Memo and Media Matters JournoList mafia, are now doing everything they can to tear down Bob Woodward.

There are several lies Woodward has exposed:

1. Obama, despite the media blitz to blame the GOP, actually conceived of and proposed the sequester.

2. Obama, despite now claiming that tax increases must be part of the deal to avoid the sequester, agreed last year that only spending cuts would constitute the plan to avoid the sequester. Thus, he’s “moved goalposts” yet again.

3. Obama does not in fact have to release illegal aliens or cancel ship deployments due to the sequester — he’s doing these things by choice, for political purposes.

In sum, President Obama’s administration is going out of its way to hurt the American people, so that he can achieve his goal of destroying the Republican Party en route to obtaining total power in the mid-terms next year. That’s his goal, the sequester was part of his plan, and Bob Woodward had to go and report the facts. Can’t have that.

Those who are trying to kill off Woodward are doing this in part to protect a president they support to the point of living by the unstated creed Obama uber alles, and they’re doing this in part as a warning to other reporters. You’ve seen what we do to Fox. You’ve seen what we’re doing to Woodward. You don’t want to be next.

It’s instructive to watch who is stepping forward to identify with Woodward, and who is doing everything they can to destroy him, to distract from what’s going on, or otherwise run interference on this story. The former are all liberals like Lanny Davis, and they appear to have a conscience and don’t like what they’re seeing out of the administration. The latter have shown themselves to be shills, and they are never to be trusted again.

Overheard at the White House:

"Okay, we got a maverick straying from the herd, ya'll! Woodward ain't toeing the line! Put the wranglers on 'eem! Get Soros on the phone & dig up every piece of dirt on Woodward you can find - and I mean everything. Tax returns, divorce records - especially if they're sealed, medical records, credit history, everything down to his underwear & socks! Turn over every rock and explore every crevice - he must be buried! Oh, and one more thing - call & confirm the appointment with my psychiatrist this afternoon."

Obama and the Democrats want unlimited power and control. The best was for them to achieve that is to destroy the US economy. The best way to destroy what is left of the productive economy that hasn't been shipped overseas or can't be because it is tied to the land is through taxes and regulations. Obama and his shadow government have been both ramping up taxes and fees while churning out thousands of pages per year of new regulations. The economy won't stand much longer. When it goes, millions more will be on welfare forever and voting Democrat, and that is precisely what Obama wants: a permanent lock on power and a boot on the throats of all Americans.

There are two issues here:

1. Did Obama lie about the origin of the sequester? Woodward definitively has proven that he did.

2. Does the White House have a policy (formal or informal) of pressuring the media to write favorable stories? Once again Woodward has proved that they do. Angry/threatening phone calls/emails and retaliatory action against reporters who upset the WH is something to be concerned about. It’s an attempt to coerce witnesses – even if it’s unsuccessful it’s wrong.

Getting too close to President Obama is proving to be similar to getting too close to a skunk. Now the republicans are trying to handle him with their soft hands,(ya that'll work)but the press has the saber teeth to bring a big meal down.He might have forgotten that!

A lot of Soros funded activity going into the anti-Woodard push ... makes me wonder if all those that stand with the WH are actually getting paid by Soros - double dipping and all that good stuff. Woodard has seen tougher men than the cabal surrounding Barry; and I don't think he's easily intimidated. Barry and his little merry band are all legends in their own minds; and Woodward knows it. Tipping point ... hell yes ... Barry is afraid.

I think we're going to find out how long you can fool most of the people, most of the time. Cascade preferences start with brave people speaking out.

This story reminds me of Roger Simon's new play, Party Line. I won't give away the story which involves American journalists reporting on the situation in Stalinist Russia. The story parallels are amazing to me. Please buy and read the play. Give copies to your liberal friends.

Metaphorically, I see Bob Woodward as Claus von Stauffenberg and Barack Insane-Hussein Obama as Adolf Hitler.

It's a real shame more people, other then the better informed among us, aren't paying attention to this and what it means. But then again, most of those people wouldn't know what this means. Sad.
