CNN Anchor Asks: Did Global Warming Cause an Asteroid Near-Miss?

CNN anchor Deb Feyrick started her interview with Bill Nye the Science Guy off with typical questions — is global warming causing snowstorm Nemo, that sort of thing.

Then she went off the rails.

“Talk about something else that’s falling from the sky and that is an asteroid. What’s coming our way? Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming or is this just some meteoric occasion?”

The asteroid has been around for billions of years. It will miss earth by over 17,000 miles.

Even Chicken Little knows better than to ask such a stupid question.
