Report: Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. Won't Resign Until He Gets Guaranteed Government Income for Life

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. was re-elected on Nov. 6 despite being both under ethics investigation and in rehab at the Mayo Clinic.  He has not actually been on the job in Congress for the better part of a year. Now that the ethics investigation seems to be heating up again, he’s negotiating for a way out that would put him on the dole, forever.

Sources tell FOX 32 News that Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is willing to give up his 2nd Congressional District seat if he’s given disability when he steps down.

Jackson Jr. was re-elected to his tenth term but last month, sources say, he applied for a disability package–what could be his only income if he resigns. It is expected to take a couple of weeks for Congress to approve or deny the request.

That line about disability being Jackson’s “only income” an assertion that isn’t backed up by any fact. Jesse Jackson Jr. could expect to make a good living off his name after Congress, as he has done for his entire life.

His father, Jesse Jackson Sr. is a very wealthy reverend. If junior can indeed make no living on his own, surely he can take care of his son?

By the way, just how does a minister become personally worth $10 million?

By the way again, Mrs. Jesse Jackson Jr. is also under an ethics investigation.
