MSNBC's Toure: Romney Is Engaging in 'Niggerization' of Obama (Updated)

On today’s The Cycle on MSNBC, panelist Toure made up a new word to try to paint Mitt Romney as a racist.

Co-host Touré saw what he believes to be explicit racial connotations beneath what Romney was saying, calling it the “niggerization” of the campaign.

“That really bothered me,” he said. “You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.”

“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization,’” Touré said to the apparent shock of his co-panelists. “You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.”

S.E. Cupp called Toure out, calling him “irresponsible” for his comments. She could have added “illiterate” as well, since the word Toure used is not in fact a real word.

Toure’s comment comes on the heels of a bad week for Democrats and liberal pundits. VP Joe Biden has forgotten what state he is in, what century we are in, and used his own racially tinged language when he told a Virginia Democratic audience that Romney would “put y’all back in chains.” President Obama at first backed Biden, then had to call those remarks a “distraction” before pulling him off the campaign trail for a White House meeting earlier today. Democrat Bob Beckel, on Fox, smeared former Special Forces troops after they criticized the Obama White House for a series of damaging national security leaks this year.  On Wednesday, a day after the Human Rights Campaign joined the SPLC in labeling the Family Research Council a “hate group,” a volunteer at a LGBT group slipped into the FRC’s headquarters armed with 30 rounds of ammunition and a loaded firearm, with evident intent to commit mass murder against the conservative pro-family advocacy group. He wounded two before a security guard wrestled him to the ground, and the FBI is treating that attack as an act of domestic terrorism. Now Toure has accused Mitt Romney of racism, for pointing out that the Obama campaign that has called Romney a bully, a felon, a vampire, a thief, a murder and a potential slave trader, is based on hate and anger.

The Romney campaign says it is taking Toure’s comments “seriously,” which could mean that they plan to take his comments to the network’s executives.

Update: Toure isn’t just a racialist nutball. It turns out, he’s a Truther nutball too. No wonder MSNBC hired him.
