Fauxcahontas Defended at The Hill

One of the biggest unconscious (I’m assuming) howlers I have ever read is Bernie Quigley’s defense of Elizabeth Warren’s phony Indian identity at The Hill – Elizabeth Warren’s true American lineage.  Quigley tries to justify Warren’s prevarications by comparing her lies to classical works of fiction.  I had to read the article twice to be sure this wasn’t parody with its pompous references to Fenimore Cooper and the James brother, not to mention the Lone Ranger and Tonto.  It read like a college freshman on steroids. Who are the editors at The Hill that they would publish this nonsense?  Anyway, read it yourself for the laughs.  Jonah Goldberg over at The Corner found it “touching” in its naiveté. giving Quigley an “A for Effort“. I understand what he means, but it’s a little scary.  Is this how liberals actually think?  I was one for decades and I hope I wasn’t that dysfunctional.
