The rally will be at 2:30 p.m. in Monument Square in Racine. As released by Jackson’s office:

“Ryan’s budget is immoral, heartless, outrageous and out of touch,” said Florence Hammelev of Kenosha, Wisconsin who will speak at the rally. Caitlin Lee, a student at Carthage College, and Kelley Albrecht, Burlington, also will share their personal stories about the effects the Ryan budget would have on their lives and the rest of the 99%. Other residents of Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District and people from Progressive Congress Action Fund will be on hand as well.

Jackson will press for adoption of the Congressional Progressive Caucus’ “Budget for All,” which proposes $2.9 trillion in new spending and failed to pass the House before recess. It got just 78 “yes” votes — one more than last year’s proposal.
