As Bryan Preston noted, Obama has just committed The Mother of All Flip-Flops and now actively encourages people to donate to his re-election Super PAC, a practice he repeatedly condemned for years as unethical.
Compare his unabashed embrace of Super Pacs today with these videos of him:
First, Obama in 2007:
Next, Obama in 2010:
Ouch.
A little dollop of hypocrisy on top of your hypocrisy sundae, Mr. President?

– inconvenient book at the rummage sale, Zombie. Like Winston Smith in 1984, such things are supposed to disappear into the memory hole as alliances change and history is rewritten, and re-rewritten.
He doesn’t “support” super-pacs, he just recognizes that it would be unfair to his party to be the only candidate without one.
This is hypocrisy only if you reject the fact that an incumbent president who is running unopposed by his party has some duty to that party – to his supporters – to try to win.
One can support reforming the law and still use the current laws to have a level field with one’s opponents.
This “Obama supports super pacs” is the current partisan lie of the week.
Honest men would admit the situation and discuss the moral dilemma the President faces here. But we are no longer a society of honest men. Being a private member of the public and promoting a somewhat dishonest talking-point, as you’re doing right now is totally unremarkable these days isn’t it? We are no longer a society of honest men, we no long have civil, honest debate. We are all Rush Limbaugh now.
