Initiative 27 would amend the Mississippi constitution to require a person to submit government-issued photo identification in order to vote. On November 6, Public Policy Polling (a Democratic polling company) released a poll of 796 likely voters that shows that 64% were in favor of the amendment; only 29% are opposed and 7% are undecided.
