I’m willing to bet, based on other answers given in a poll by New York Magazine, and based on the obvious bohemian-proletarian vibe of the protests, that most of the Occupy Wall Street people fancy themselves champions of a clean environment. And yet look at the disgusting way they are treating downtown New York, which is once again beginning to take on the distinct Third Worldish flavor it had during the Ed Koch and David Dinkins administrations. Where are the squeegee men when you need them?
These pictures are, to me, further proof that socialism could never work. Much as millions of die-hard Marxists could not make Soviet Communism work, so thousands of “green” morons can barely even pick up their own trash without having a capitalist do it for them.

Mr. Wargas, you forgot to mention the total environmental disasters created by the U.S.S.R and its satalite nations. In the stuggle to make unworkable socialist economic systems work, they completely disregarded all environmental considerations. What we have here is just a taste of things to come should this imbecilic rabble get their way.
sadly that’s pretty accurate. Also ‘squeegee men’? No..city dump trucks is gonna be needed to haul away all that crap.
The squeegee men were bums on the streets of Manhattan in the late 80s and early 90s who would, without asking, clean the windshields of cars stopped in traffic and then demand payment from the driver. It was a joke.
The upended mattress reminded me of something. You know, Manhattan already suffers from a massive bed bug problem. This communal living, with people coming and going, staying for a few days at a time, then heading back home, with a filthy sleeping bag or tarp slung over their shoulders can only make that problem epidemic. Brookfield may have to torch the entire park. And no parent should allow any kid to come home from this “no fun” Woodstock without housing him down in the front yard and then throwing all his clothing and personal effects into a Hefty bag and right on into the wheelie bin.
Consider the mind set. They don’t need to clean up – the government should provide that service. Or it should provide free dumpsters. Maybe free tents, cots & blankets. And free food. And a free medical clinic. Even free buses so Occupiers can come and go as they please. After all, the Government is responsible for ensuring that everyone can exercise his/her First Amendment rights, right? When life puts obstacles in their way, the Government should step in and help. That’s positive liberty, man.
Egads what a mess.
Selective environmentalists vs the selective constitutionalists. Look hard enough and the trust is obvious.
Wait, is that an “end the fed” sign! Man I don’t disagree with that sentiment, but I highly doubt some libtard left that there. Too much logic in one sign.
