Buckeye Firearms Association: Anti-gun Joyce Foundation buying journalists

Chad Baus, Buckeye Firearms Association Vice Chairman, wrote an investigative article regarding Joyce Foundation grant money finding its way into professional media pockets.

Joyce’s stated goal was to promote “new and original work on any facet of gun violence, including investigative, analytical, online and broadcast reporting…” Ostensibly, the money went to schools like John Jay College in New York, but ended up supporting Theodore Decker and/or the Columbus Dispatch, which admits after the end of an article: “A grant from the John Jay College Center on Media, Crime and Justice contributed to the reporting of this project.

Professional ethics precludes journalists and news organizations from receiving compensation from special interest groups for writing articles favorable to said interest group’s agenda.

Or, in this post-enlightened society, are we using the term “journalist” loosely, in order to display our “tolerance” (PC term for moral relativism, used to justify lust, greed, and vanity)?

The Joyce Foundation is documented to be a private organization run by a small group of elites, including one-time director Barrack Obama. As their heavily funded propagandists like Violence Policy Center receive diminishing media attention, perhaps it was only a matter of time before Joyce sought sympathetic journalists more directly.

The only remaining question: Why does Joyce still have their 501(c)(3) status, which proscribes such non-profits from influencing legislation?
