Cantor: Our troops must be paid

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor just addressed the budget impasse. He led off noting that the troops must be paid, but the shutdown would keep them from getting paid. President Obama, in one of the few times he has done something other than vote “present,” has affixed his name to not paying the troops, in that threat to veto the one-week CR that funds them through the rest of the year and also cuts $12 billion in spending in that one week.
