But can bureaucrats walk on water? Probably so, in Nancy’s world.

I’m not going to get into the specifics of the “cut” Pelosi is decrying. Everyone knows a Washington cut is not a cut at all, and that’s true of this “cut.” I’ll just note a couple of things. One, once again we have yet another Democrat stepping up to defend every cent the government spends. First it was Nevada’s Cowboy Poet, Dingy Harry, then it was the White House defending NPR, now it’s Pelosi admitting that government is in fact her god and deserves every cent it gets — always more more more sacrifice to the god of the reactionary left.

Let’s put things in their starkest terms: From Wisconsin to Washington, other than on national defense, Democrats do not think there is such a thing as too much government spending, and no tactic or idiotic statement is out of bounds in the service of defending any and all government spending. Such is the offering they yield to their all-powerful deity.

Question: Just how many bureaucrats can dance on the head of a pin?
