Then you can continue with your spew about conservative “haters”, the ones who were right all along about the Warming lies and hustle, the attempted power grab designed to help impoverish us. I say help, God knows the left has plenty of arrows in that quiver.

Words are expressions of thoughts and opinions. The more extremely hate filled the word (like “denialist”), the more likely the speaker will hurt anyone who disagrees with him. Humans are so unchanging, aren’t we? There are always True Believers amongst us, and given the right conditions, they can be very dangerous to people who simply want to lead a peaceful life.

You don’t need the “up to.” Actually, about 6 million people were exterminated because they were Jews. And about 5 million more were exterminated for other reasons, most because they were Slav (notably, 3 million non-Jewish Poles), Gypsy (aka Roma), communist, socialist, Jehovah’s Witness, mentally or physically disabled, or homosexual.

i was rather stunned last night to see that some AGW “believers” are now claiming that not only are AGW skeptics “equivalent to Holocaust deniers”, but that AGW skepticism is “most common” with groups that are anti-Semitic.

How much of this is the result of the AGW “faithful” actually doing research on the likes of Stormfront, etc., and how much is just wishful thinking on their part I’m not qualified to say. I just note the statements.

But I do say this; I am, personally, becoming increasingly convinced that at least some of the AGW cultists are very close to completely taking leave of their senses, i.e., are bordering on that mental state once quaintly described as “plain nuts”.

If this doesn’t worry you, it should. As for myself, to paraphrase Wellington’s remarks on reviewing his troops, I don’t know if this lot worries most people, but by G-d they frighten me.

It is my impression that the people who use the term “denialists” to condemn AGW sceptics are the same people who use the term “denialists” to condemn “Holocaust” skeptics except for the rare members of AGW sceptics community that are also “Holocaust” sceptics. Naturally, the members of the AGW sceptics community do not want the “denialist” label to stick to them. After all, becoming a “denialist” wins one a prison term in many countries if one applies a little healthy scepticism to the claims Mr. Rosenbaum purports to be true.
