It seems unlikely this will be resolved in a few weeks and then finally Obama will have to make a decision and stand by his own word. I can see where this could be the first time in his life he will actually have to do that. He will not personally suffer the direct consequences of his actions but will experience the effect of his final action. Up till now I doubt he has ever had to put his reputation, his opinion or his intellect on the line, let alone his own ass. Then we may begin to assess the "stuff" he is made of. However...... He could follow the Clinton model,ie take credit if it succeeds or blame it on your Secretary of State if it fails. It would appear more and more likely that this issue will be Obamas first test.
