The first poster on this thread specifically indicates that as an immigrant he “probably values our national experiment more than the host of native-born..”

I’m really getting sick and tired of that pre-qualifier that is tossed in to the mix by people who were not born in this country. My very best friend who was born in Russia and escaped at the age of 5 under the darkness of night in 1929 across the Amur River in a horse-drawn sleigh constantly does the same thing.

I’ve got a request for all the immigrants: would you please stop assuming that you know the level of our (1) knowledge of what we have, (2) gratitude for what we have and (3)how well we are thinking things through????

Whether it’s the illegal immigrants, the legal immigrants, the libs or the hate-America-first crowd–you don’t KNOW how grateful I am, how much I know, how much I think, how many taxes I’ve paid to cover your butt.

I think maybe I’ll start setting up my own comments with, “Well, as a native born American, I probably value what I have more than the immigrants do, because I’ve HAD my liberty since I was born and wouldn’t know any other life, so I WILL fight tooth and nail to protect the only life I know. And since the immigrants came from crappy, downtrodden, backwards, poverty-stricken countries and are used to living like dogs, it won’t matter as much to them if they lose the liberty we have. They can get used to living like crap again because they’ve done it before.”

Does that work for you, you smart and more-grateful-than-me-immigrant? No? Didn’t think so.
