"and indeed, at times has shown “frightening ignorance.”

Barack Obama is indeed "frightening" ignorant. Too many people, however, are overly impressed with his Harvard law credentials. They instinctively compare him to John Adams. The reality is that we only know that for sure Obama can pass a state board examination. I am one of the few individuals apparently who clearly realizes that the president elect is a shallow and poorly read man. Furthermore, Obama has not worked out his hostilities with white people---especially older white women. On a gut level, he believes that America victimizes the rest of the world. Any violence directed towards our country is therefore most assuredly the result of well deserved blow-back. We are in deep excrement. Obama is likely to be pushed around by just about every tinpot dictator in the world.

I don't think any of these names we have heard for Secretary of State are likely to be right, and I strongly doubt Obama will nominate Kerry.

Of all those mentioned above I think only Lugar and Holbrooke are a remote possibility.

In truth we have no information, except for what the choice of Joe Biden for Vice President tells you.

About georgia, I am pretty confident that Obama knew that would be useless - this was an instinctive legalism.
We might very well be pleasantly surprised.
