And that’s it in a nutshell, Granny Jan. When the President does something you disagree with, you call him a liberal wacko. When the President disappoints the left-wing members of his own party and makes a deal that largely favors the other side, you still hate him. You hate him. Thanks for being so direct and honest, unlike so many others who veil their hatred in ever-increasing dissonance and noise.
President Obama is not perfect by any means, and I myself have disagreed with many of his actions and decisions, but hatred of the man blinds so many of his opponents to the damage they are doing to this country. As a country, we almost defaulted due to some people’s hatred of this man. That hurts us all, and far beyond 2012.
When elected officials are going on record as saying their every goal and action as members of Congress are to make sure the President does not get reelected, that comes from placing hate over common sense, and personal agenda over the good of the country. That is far worse for the United States than any policy any president could enact.
Have you ever tried simply disagreeing with him? Allowing yourself to understand that personal hatred is the type of emotional response that human history shows will only lead to bad decisions? Or is it so important for you to hate?
