In an engineering environment, when a possible solution to a problem is proposed, an experiment is performed to ascertain the outcome. In that regard, I propose an experiment to determine if Obama’s solution of raising taxes on the rich will actually solve anything.

To keep the results to a confined locale the test should be performed only in California and New York. These states were chosen because they both contain large quantities of “rich” people and the majority are liberal minded. Both of these states’ legislatures should pass a law increasing the taxes of people making more than $300K per year by 25% and by 50% for people whose income is more than $1 million. For purposes of this experiment, income will include any capitol gains on investments.

It would be interesting to see which and how many liberals would embrace this experiment.
