But David Thompson promised me over and over again that Obama was already a marginalized figure, that he’s thisclose to a mental breakdown, that he’d have to resign before the end of his term (specifically, by March of this year). Now you’re telling me Obama’s going to win in 2012? This is shocking! I’ve never known David to get it this wrong (except, of course, for his predictions about the Dow, the economy, passage of the health care bill, Obama’s legislative record, the Sotomayor confirmation and a Celtic’s championship.)
