Well,

We here in the U.S. have been specializing in it – guilt transference that is.

We abused the Indians, we imported slaves, we’re melting the icecaps, we’re responsible for third world poverty, and the conflict of any peoples anywhere is our fault because we didn?t deploy peacekeepers.

We do have roles in each and every one of these things. But somehow we need to internalize these as our own personal faults and feel guilty. I think it is an Old Testament thing. Could be Catholic. Dunno.
