Chuck,

You make an interesting point. They are acting as if this is their last stand. Perhaps it is, and if Bush defeats them this election they become like dinosaurs wandering the wilderness looking for trees to eat in what used to be a jungle that they once ruled. (Or maybe the dinosaurs discover that they are only field mice and the luscious green leaves of the mighty trees are no longer in reach. Or maybe cockroaches scuttling for shelter when the light gets turned on. Or, … oh well, they just fade away, speaking only to themselves, who become fewer and fewer as their fellow travellers drop away or drop off.)
