Why can’t the “religion of peace” honor the peace of mind of those whose friends and family perished in the Muslim attacks on the Twin Towers, and just quietly cancel this project, or move it to another neighborhood? It’s not like there’s no mosques in New York City, and I’ve not seen any data indicating that there’s a huge Muslim population in that neighborhood who are clamoring for a mosque of their own.
