A general question for folks who believe that the proposed mosque is too close to ground zero, one I have waited in vain to hear anyone ask. How close to ground zero should we allow a mosque to be built? One block, five blocks, ten or should we be talking about miles? For precedent we could use the Japanese Consulate in Honolulu which I believe is less than five miles from Pearl Harbor. So how ’bout four to five miles, of course if any mosques already exist inside the exclusion zone then I guess we either grandfather them in or demolish them.

This whole argument should make our troops lives easier in Afghanistan because those folks already think we love Muslims and shouldn’t impact our nation building at all.
