Duranty was a reporter, bound to report the truth. He was a liar, full stop.

Stone is an entertainer. His films are entertaining, but in no way are they intended to document reality. And they obviously don’t.

To the extent that he claims they do, he is irresponsible, and a prick, but I don’t think he is in the same category of a**hole as Duranty.
