Ah yes, the good old standby: “argument by strength of numbers”. Well, I have one for you- most battered women prefer bad boys, the kind of guy who willingly beats the p-ss out of them instead of the “nice”, harmless guy. With the nice guy, they could have a healthy relationship and live normal lives; with the bad boy they continually set themselves up for misery and abuse- YET THEY KEEP GOING BACK to the bad boys no matter what! But, hey, because percentage-wise these women prefer the bad boys, we should just accept as correct that outcome (regardless of the negatives), right? Don’t ponder any other possibility.

And further, if you really want to defend the situation I described in the last paragraph of my original post- all the power to you, my friend. IMHO there is so much potential that is being wasted, for absolutely no reason. But hey, bring 100 “friends” if you want- I’ll prefer my odds.
