The retirement of Stevens is not good, but don’t think it’s all that bad. He’s the most liberal member of the SC, so it’s going to be hard for Barry to replace him with someone further to the left. He’s also the smartest of the remaining liberals, so unless Barry replaces him someone as far to the left and as smart, the liberal wing will still be weakened.

God willing, a newly energized Republican Senate will put their collective feet and demand a moderate. (Yea, and pigs fly)
