Obama denies visas to allies but issues them for enemies. The Obama administration recently issued a travel visa to Tariq Ramadan to enable him to speak at Georgetown University. The Bush administration revoked his visa in 2004 for a variety of reasons, including support of the brutal regime in the Sudan, links to an Algerian jihadist, connections to al-Qaeda sympathizer Ahmed Brahim, and possible dealings with deputy head of al-Qaeda Ayman al-Zawahiri and “blind sheikh” Omar Adbel Rahman—the grandson of Hassan Al Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.
