Bush handled Katrina fairly well, it was the gov of LA and the mayor of NO that blew it.

If I remember right, McCain was the presumptive Rep. nominee long before Obama managed to wrap up the Democrat nomination. Additionally, last time I checked AZ has a lot of blacks. It also has tons of hispanics and a non-trivial number of American Indians.
