I came home from a town government committee meeting at midnight last night — trying to protect the local taxpayers from the unions representing our employees — to see the Drudge headline: NO NUKES: EVEN IN SELF-DEFENSE!

Obama has truly jumped the shark with this one. I can’t imagine he would even get a majority of Democrats in Congress to support this.

Aside from the insanity of this — and I agree with other commentators who are increasingly questioning Bambi’s mental health — one almost has to conclude that the ONE does not take the defense of the United States of America seriously. Or, perhaps his loyalties are elsewhere.

I suppose the most charitable explanation is that he wants to divert our energies away from health care.
