As frightening as he is, even more frightening is how gullibly and readily our fellow citizens elected and venerated this man about whom they knew nothing. Or worse, about whom they did not want to know anything beyond the constructed image presented to them by the campaign and its media publicists. The public elected someone without performing the most rudimentary due diligence on him. To me, that is the truly scary part.
