Maybe the announced time for CBS’ latest statement was wrong, but it’s 12:45 pm EST, and nothing, at least according to FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and my e-mailbox. Maybe this statement is being delayed by worried CBS executives.

Joe Allbaugh, who was Bush’s chief of staff when he was governor of Texas, is now being interviewed on Fox. Not much new, “this was all dealt with in campaigns in 1994, 1998, 2000…”

UPDATE: I have now heard from more than one source that CBS is going to talk to 86-year-old Marian Carr Knox, former secretary to Lt. Col. Jerry Killian. Hey, I think it’s great to hear CBS might quote someone who says the memo is fake (other than Marcel Matley, their first expert, who said he could not authenticate it).

They’re going to try to bolster the “content” defense retroactively and, as I mentioned earlier, dare anyone to shred the “nice old lady”; RatherScummy.
