When Bill Clinton was running in the Democrat Primaries the rumors started to surface about him, after he won the primaries and questions were being asked about him we started to hear, “Character doesn’t matter what is important is his ideology, which is good for the country.” So the old process of running your own operation research program against your candidate to figure out his weaknesses, before supporting him started to fall by the way side.
