OK, people back up.
The Ramat Shlomo neighborhood where the building is planned is in a NORTHWEST neighborhood of Jerusalem. Not “East” Jerusalem.
Furthermore, the contested “East Jerusalem” (Neighborhoods of Silwan,City of David, Wadi Joz, Shimon the Righteous) is comprised mostly of a bunch of Arab neighborhoods where the “neighbors” are occupying homes from which Jordan evicted – more terrorized – the poor Sephardic Jews who had made Aliyah from 1940-47 and lived in tin huts and tents. These Arab people are literally the “pot calling the kettle black”.
But, why should history be taken into consideration? After all, why allow facts get in the way of opinions?
