I want to believe the results of the poll—but I wonder if the proper mix of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans were contacted? My guess is that Scott Brown will win by perhaps a 5% margin. 15% sound just too good to be true.

Barack Obama is too narcissistic to think this way. I recently said, though, that Nancy Pelosi and a number of purple and red state legislators might prefer the issue to simply go away. She does not want to lose her role as speaker of the House. There is only so much that Pelosi is willing to sacrifice for Obama’s place in the history books. At the end of the day, she worries about herself.
