The Heritage looked at the DC Metro traffic (which is much more objective): The Metro ridership jumped 235,096, compared from the previous Saturday. On inauguration day in 2009, the Metro ridership jumped at 975,000, with the total attendance estimated at 1.3 million. So the 70,000 number is to thrown in the trash.
