Joe Wilson’s outburst reminded me of an old joke from the Soviet Union:

A worker, fed up with waiting in a bread line, runs out into the street and shouts at the top of his voice, “the General Secretary of the Soviet Union is an Idiot!”.

He is promptly arrested and charged with two crimes: one, for embarrassing the General Secretary, two for revealing State secrets.
