Am I one of the only ones who sees the real tragedy here? The man was only 62 and died of a cancer that is on the rise at an alarming rate. I lost my husband (also 62) last year to the same type of cancer. He fought it for 1 1/2 years. Not much progress has been made in “curing” it. It’s usually too far gone when discovered. My heart goes out to Ron’s family. It’s a nasty disease that will continue to take baby boomer men until someone decides enough is enough. I guess we’ll have to see our bright and shining stars fade until a sufficient number of people die from the disease. A fellow chemo patient told my husband that “we need our own high profile celebrity” to really get some attention focused on this type of cancer. Not to make light of the recent death of a famous bunnyhill skier, but we’ll probably see more attention paid to wearing helmets on the slope than cancer caused from ? But I digress…
