Never Trust a Pundit, Especially Me

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

I found that out after he left, actually. (Banging head on wall.)

Myself, I don’t think getting rid of a complete dimbulb as Governor, Mayor, or whatever is worth it if the chosen method is to send said dimbulb to Washington, thereby inflicting him on the world at large.

I thought Cleveland once more earned its monicker “The Mistake on the Lake” when it got rid of Boy Mayor Dennis Kucinich by electing Dennis the Menace to the U.S. House (repeatedly).

Now, we have Richard Cordray, ex-state treasurer and ex-state attorney general. Who was somehow allowed as AG to investigate his own performance as treasurer, and naturally find nothing wrong- he also failed to find several million dollars of taxpayers’ money that somehow got “misplaced” while he was treasurer.

Said butterfingers is now going to run a brand-new “consumer protection” agency, staffed mostly by ex-Greenpeace, etc. “environmental” lawyers. Expect it to mainly concentrate on “protecting” us from things like oil and gas exploration, nuclear power, and hydroelectric dams.

I tend to wonder- and worry- about exactly what job The One has in mind for Ted Strickland.

cheers
