Mitt Romney’s credentials include a very successful career in the private sector. Even if that is demonized by the likes of Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry, it is definitely what we need in Washington. His credentials also include a very successful turnaround of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. It was riddled with corruption and debt, but Romney cleaned it up and made it a financial success, an especially impressive feat in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy of 9/11. As governor he turned a multi-billion dollar deficit into a multi-million dollar rainy day fund in MA. He cut the size of government, and did so in a liberal state. He accepted a salary for his work on the Olympics of $1, and did the same thing as governor of MA.
His personal traits include an amazing work ethic, meticulous preparation, patience, generosity and sacrifice.
Mitt Romney is not a perfect man, he is not a perfect candidate, and he will not be a perfect president if we are lucky enough and wise enough to elect him. But he is a very good man, and I believe he will be a very good president. Every endeavor he has taken on has been a success. We need not only his track record in the White House, we also need his skill set and his many other assets.
