David, thanks for proving my point so well for me. The fact is that Clinton was able to do what you claim, not because he was a great president, but by passing off all the hard decisions and needed though action to the next guy. We got 9-11 because of that. Idiots like you still miss the point that it was the harm reduction (or whatever other idiotic name you give it) attitude that encouraged the people at war with us to do 9-11. The only attitude change that will discourage any more attacks by terrorists, is either our conversion to Islam, or our death. They are in a war they intend to win. They have made that very clear to us. I know liberals are too stupid to take these people seriously, but some of us are not.

Bush somehow had lots of public support after his government failed to prevent the 2nd WTC attack – but you are probably correct that Obama would not be allowed this luxury by his critics. The law is perfectly adequate, and the only appropriate method to deal with non-state criminal actors.

This summarizes the problem right here David. People like you still insist – and do so out of political expediency and lack of moral and ethical strenght, because you prefer to shove off the consequences of your lack will to make hard decisions andaction to someone else – on pretending it is better to deal with terrorists after they kill Americans than before they do. I really wish democrats would come out and tell Americans they think they should be prosecuting terrorists in court after they kill thousands of us, instead of killing them before they can kill us.
