Milt Rosenberg is much too liberal for me, but he is not unintelligent and not unskilled at what he does. His show is sometimes very good, and I’m surprised he was not picked up nationally a long time ago… It is also sad the way Larry King is wasted in his current high-bucks format. When he had his midnight-4am radio show years ago, from Jeff Davis Boulevard in
Alexandria, and allowed guests to talk in real depth–he let THEM talk, too–you didn’t mind his orthodox liberal weltanschauung. He talked to me a couple times, always with good humor and always with unfeigned interest in what he heard, even though he would rather have been at the track.
