The problem with this year’s primary is not that voters shopped around. It is that they bought too many candidates without looking under the hood. Candidates won’t improve until voters let them know they need more than a slogan to win their votes. They need to learn that they have to have seriously thought about more than one issue and that a bit of executive experience wouldn’t hurt either. We had some decent people running, but they didn’t do their homework.
