The way I looked at it, with so many people voting for Barack Obama solely on the color of his skin,if we could put up a black CONSERVATIVE,he might actually have a chance of defeating Obama. Cain looked especially good because he made himself into a successful businessman who even turned Godfather Pizza around. Hey,someone who knows and applies ECONOMIC REALITIES!! Who would know, firsthand, the problems that over-regulation and high taxes cause for business and employment. Suddenly, I was once again hopeful for my country. Alas, alas, like so many prominent men,he yielded to the temptation of an extramarital affair. That is,seemingly,an asset for Democrats (as witness the Kennedys, John Edwards, and Bill Clinton, just to name a few),but the Republicans generally eject such men from their political careers. Which is why we are apparently stuck with a couple of experienced political candidates who are more of the same old same old,and we are DOOMED. Even if one of those guys WINS,it’ll be more George Bush, more “crossing the aisle to get things done”,and the country will go to blazes in a handbasket, maybe more slowly than under Obama, but I fear we will see far too little needed change.
