“Why do we flock to politicians (amateur or otherwise) so quickly when we know so little about them?”

My way of thinking – and I really think most conservatives think similarly – is “This is who I’m leaning toward given what I know now.” Some people “fall” for candidates much more easily but I don’t think it is all that common on the conservative side. That it is probably rampant on the liberal side is evidenced by the electoral success of our current thumb-twiddler-in-chief who had absolutely no resume whatsoever. This is because all of their ideas (and by extension their minds) are vapid anyway.

Why did he run? Because he thought he could get away with everything and pull it off with a few tropes like “9-9-9″. Delusional.

I’ll admit I liked some of what he said. But I never joined his camp. I lean toward Perry and Bachman only because I don’t think Santorum has a chance at this point. I won’t vote for Romney, PERIOD. Maybe Gingrich will clinch it. We’ll see.
