I have spent several months trying to defend Herman Cain but not any longer. In my opinion, Mr. Cain needs to bow out and leave the platform.
I hear conservatives condemn Romney and Gingrich for their “flip-flops,” or changinging opinions but I am not hearing many come out and admit how toxic Cain is now to the republican party.
I feel that we have several good candidates, Romney and Gingrich being two of them. Instead of concentrating on their negatives, I prefer to find some positive.
Changing one’s mind and opinion is a normal process of aging. Wisdom does not stay stagnant. Of course Romney, Gingrich and any other normal adult has at some point re-evaluated their positions and had a change of heart.
Can you imagine any human ever keeping the same thought process throughout their entire life? Flexibility and changing times forces people to acknowledge old ideas are not always the best ideas.
I do not see Romney nor Gingrich as flawed, I see them as confident, intelligent men who both bring good intentions and fresh solutions to the problems that our ever changing world is presenting.
As for Mr. Cain, his numbers disturb me: 999 and how many women – no thanks.
