Joe elicits such rage and contempt from the Regressives because (1) he is an ordinary American who dares question the groupthink of the elites, (2) he doesn’t speak with the smirking, knowing condescension of the Couric/Matthews/Stewart/Fey/Maher entertainment complex Cool Kids, (3) he doesn’t buy the Regressive narrative without question, and (4) people identify with his persona, which is not the slick media mask the Regressives are so enamored with. In that sense he is very much like Sarah Palin, whom they also loath for mostly the same reasons. That results in the Regressive apoplexy and the passion to destroy Joe and Sarah—-don’t these people know only WE know what’s right and that only we should get to speak? After all, we’re professionals!

Of course the symbolism of JTP, an everyman who dares to question the MSM juggernaut and is viciously attacked for it, is a big reason why Pajamas TV picked him to go. Pajamas is all about an alternative to the monolithic MSM, and Joe is a thumb in their eye. And it has worked wonderfully. He is but one among hundreds of “reporters” over there, but the only one who has generated so much attention and rage over daring to even go over there and tell us what he sees. The Regressives simply cannot stand the idea that anyone would challenge the exclusivity of their “right” to tell us what reality we are to believe. Once again, the “reality-based” community is terrified and outraged that some reality might actually get seen by someone.
