Not even the ridiculously bogus and unserious “seriousness of the charges” standard applies here. We have no idea what exactly the charges are, but just imagine what they could be!! Apparently a brand new standard applies, as pioneered by Politico — call it the “potential seriousness of the unknown charges” standard.

However, as per usual, such standards only apply to Republicans.
