By “taking him seriously” you mean the establishment GOP? Don’t kid yourself. They are the ones behind this. This isn’t a liberal hit job, it’s a conservative hit job! They are taking Cain out now with a scandal because they know that the southern primaries will not vote for a hot-n-tot (black person). Now they can blame his poor performance on his moral shortcomings and thus escape the charge of racism.
