We’re constantly lectured that women are the equal of men, that they, too, are strong, smart, accomplished, attend college in greater numbers, earn more degrees, can serve in the military with the best of men, etc., etc., ad nauseum. Yet, we hear without proof that Herman Cain did or said something to make some women “uncomfortable.” Uncomfortable! So uncomfortable, it’s hinted, that they could no longer continue to work with him, quit their jobs, sued and, they say, got a settlement…for feeling “uncomfortable.” And yet this story is about the alleged deficiencies of Herman Cain and not about the hyper-delicate sensitivities of the women, who, after all, could have said, like any man would have, “Buzz off!”
I await the first filing with the International Court of Justice of a charge that a female US soldier, captured by the enemy, was made to feel “uncomfortable.”
