Welcome the New York Times’ Great New Columnist — Vladimir Putin

September 11th, 2013 - 9:59 pm

And the Times’ opening their pages to this man is all the more praiseworthy since so many had a false impression of President Putin as a neo-Stalinist bent on bringing back totalitarianism to Russia.  Wrong-o!  This is a Man of God, a man who walks humbly among the nations. Consider the pious conclusion of his first column:

My working and personal relationship with President Obama is marked by growing trust. I appreciate this. I carefully studied his address to the nation on Tuesday. And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.” It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. There are big countries and small countries, rich and poor, those with long democratic traditions and those still finding their way to democracy. Their policies differ, too. We are all different, but when we ask for the Lord’s blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal.

So there you have it: Down with American exceptionalism, but up with the Lord. What a righteous man. And good for the New York Times, known for its atheistic tendencies, to give him space to express these views and make the world safer for humanity.

But it shouldn’t end here. The Times should open up more space to President Putin. Perhaps he should be featured in the sports and travel sections. He is known to be a great hunter and fisherman. As recently as this year he apparently caught the biggest pike on record. Who knows? He may out swim Mao yet, or even Diana Nyad.

So he is just the man for the New York Times — an international liar who has just made a complete fool of the president of the United States and shamed our country in the process while putting into question the entire future of the Middle East.

For his next column, perhaps he can finally tell us what happened in Benghazi. Sadly, there’s a better chance he’ll do it than our own administration.

I guarantee that if you take a poll in America NOW , Putin would lead over Obama for "Acting like a nation's President".

"So he is just the man for The New York Times – an international liar who has just made a complete fool of the President of the United States and shamed our country in the process while putting into question the entire future of the Middle East."

I don't feel shamed by Putin at all, or feel that America has been shamed by Putin at all, as Obama is not America and America is not Obama. As to 'international liar", was it Putin who told us 9/11/2012 was all on account of some obscure utube video? Was it Putin who told us Fast-and-Furious was just a couple of rogue low level employees? Ditto the IRS harass, delay and deny? Was it Putin who told us the NSA is not spying on us? Was it Putin who tried to lynch with lies Zimmerman for defending his life? Is it Putin who tells us ObamaCare is good for us? Is it Putin who tells us the Muslim Brotherhood is a fine secularist group? Is it Putin who tells us jihads are moderates? As to the future of the Middle East, our future will be better if we stay out of it, especially with Obama on the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda side.

Only obama and the NYT could wind up making Putin look like a statesman and peacemaker.

What are they thinking at the NYT? A once influential newspaper sliding towards bankruptcy, and all they give a platform to a corrupt, cynical, brutal, murderous ex-KGB hack. It's a race to the bottom for the Times, and they richly deserve the oblivion which is not far off.

Looks like Putin just ate the Affirmative Action Poseur's lunch. Just remember, as long as you have affirmative action, you don't need accomplishment, all you need is aaaa-teee-toood.

Why do most people think this is about Putin vs. Obama? Why not flip the logic and see it for the Marxist dialectic it might be: Obama doing the bidding of his "former" Soviet handlers. We don't know who is behind him. And do we know whether or not, all those years ago, Franklin Marshall Davis told his comrades there was a young half black man being groomed right now who will rise to power one day and he will deliver the United States on a platter? Think it never could have happened? This president appeared like smoke. I still don't know who started the fire. Do you?

The NY Times has finally eliminated the middlemen (Walter Duranty et al.) and has printed the propaganda straight from the horse's mouth, a former officer of the KGB.

Maybe the NYT will next publish the pictures of "Putin's Summer Vacation in Chechnya."

I am reminded of the 1975 movie, The Posse, starring Kirk Douglas and Bruce Dern. Obama as Kirk Douglas and Putin as Bruce Dern. The American people are the Posse.

Another take: The O-man has a lot of czars. Now he’s got one he’s working for instead of the other way around.

We don't have to worry about ex-KGB Putin, we have our own Marxist in the White House. I'll take Putin anytime over the Marxist community organizer.
